Help with gearing please Hello,

I am doing a project that requires 24 TPI, and 16 TPI, but the gears will not fit in the gearbox as described on the screw butting chart. For 24 TPI, it calls for 20 tooth driver, 70 tooth idler, and 60 tooth lead screw-there is not enough clearance in the gearbox for this to happen. Is there a gear that needs to be put between the idle and lead screw that isn`t shown on the chart? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike |
